For many students, ISI's dinners and fun activities are where they met their best friends! The chance to meet other students from around the world and spend time together.
For new students, the chance to become friends with other students who have been in Cincinnati longer is a great way to experience the area more fully!
We have a passion for taking care of international students! The Americans on our team want to be your guides to help you get to know Ohio and American culture! We're happy to answer your questions, and to be your home away from home.
We can promise that our staff and volunteers are focused on welcoming you into our lives, respect you for who you are, and want to create community for you.
International Students, Inc. has been in the US since 1962, back when international students used to arrive by boat! ISI now serves students at over 150 American colleges and universities! As an organization, we're called to love international students and serve their physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs.
The concept of people opening up their homes and inviting me in to enjoy delicious food, games, and discussions week after week with no strings attached sounded alien to me until I started coming to ISI meetups. I have had some amazing moments here and can safely say that this group is the closest thing to family I have in this country.

It was food that attracted me to the group in the beginning. Later it was the many new international and American friends I made in the group. Everyone was very friendly, open and welcoming. We practice English and talk about many topics like culture, politics, food, and religion; regardless of similarities and differences. I have also learned a lot about Jesus and God without any pressure. I am so thankful for the unlimited love, understanding, and friendship I experience with ISI.

I was surprised when I first came to the University of Cincinnati to find a group of people that immediately welcomed me. ISI became a great place to make new friends, to explore life's important questions, and to have fun together. I was not very confident then in what I believed about God. So I signed up to get involved in the ISI weekly group Bible discussions. I have learned so much. I am so happy I found such deep friendships here.
